The University of Amsterdam (UvA) owns approximately 350,000 m2 of real estate, spread across the city. In the coming years, the UvA will be carrying out a large number of building projects leading to the development of open campuses, which will improve the quality of its real estate holdings while reducing their dispersed nature. The aforementioned campuses include Science Park Amsterdam, the Roeterseiland and the area surrounding the Binnengasthuisterrein.

The Real Estate Development department is responsible for the development of these campuses.
