University Professors and Honorary Professors

In addition to regular professorial appointments, the UvA also occasionally bestows the special titles of University Professor and Honorary Professor.

University Professors are expected to stimulate cross-disciplinary developments and contribute to a strong university image. They are not affiliated with a single disciplinary field.

Honorary Professors are expected to give regular guest lectures or contribute to UvA research.
