Technology Transfer Office

For the University of Amsterdam, knowledge transfer is a key pillar alongside those of research and education. Knowledge transfer makes scientific knowledge available to society.

Knowledge transfer is of major social significance. It strengthens our country's economic development and opens up new sources of funding. That funding enables the University of Amsterdam to enhance the quality of its research and the education it provides.

Knowledge transfer starts with the scientist. The Technology Transfer Office UvA AMC (Bureau Kennistransfer UvA AMC, BKT UvA AMC) was set up in May 2008 to stimulate knowledge transfer and provide optimal support to scientists in the transfer process.

The BKT UvA AMC also assists staff in applying for grants.

The BKT UvA AMC has two branches. The branch serving the University of Amsterdam, Hogeschool van Amsterdam, University of Applied Sciences, and all institutes of the Netherlands Organisation of Scientific Research based in Science Park Amsterdam is located at Science Park 904, while the branch serving the AMC, the university's medical centre, is located on AMC premises.

This website provides information for scientists and other members of staff, government and industry about what the BKT UvA AMC does in the field of knowledge transfer. In addition, the website also focuses on our role in applications for grants.

We are ready to be of service: do not hesitate to get in touch.
